Connor McDavid scored 32 seconds into the second overtime giving the Edmonton Oilers a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.
Evan Bouchard scored twice for the Oilers, including the game-tying goal with 2:28 remaining in the third period. Leon Draisaitl also scored for Edmonton.
Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski scored for the Stars.
Oilers goaltender Mike Smith made 38 saves, while Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger stopped 36 shots.
The Oilers and Stars will meet again in Game 2 of the series on Friday night at American Airlines Center.
