**Edmonton, Alberta** - Connor McDavid had a huge night, scoring twice to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday. McDavid put the Oilers on the board with a power-play goal in the first period. He added his second goal of the game into an empty net in the third period. Leon Draisaitl also scored for the Oilers, while Evan Bouchard and Wyatt Johnson each had two assists. Jake Oettinger made 28 saves for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to prevent the loss. The Oilers now have a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 2 is set for Saturday in Edmonton.
